About Applica
Overview

Applica Logistics, a division of Applica Solutions, has brought together several industry experts from cross-functional disciplines to create a new type of furnishings dealership. Applica’s management created a team with expertise in products and design, facilities management, installation procedures, and overall process quality management by drawing upon a diverse set of strengths.

 

With a combined seventy years’ experience in the furnishings industry, we have seen a wide array of customers across a multitude of industries. We have vast experience in partnering with vendors to provide flooring, lighting, artwork and accessories, acoustical sound masking, among others and have outfitted spaces not just with furniture, but complete packages from floor to ceiling:

  • Office furniture and training spaces for government and commercial clients

  • Dining facilities and millwork on military bases and in office buildings

  • Educational spaces from the classroom to residence halls

  • Healthcare facilities to include military medical facilities and not-for-profit medical groups

  • Hospitality spaces to include restaurants, casinos, and lounges

  • Custom millwork for executive offices, conference rooms, kitchen areas​

 

We believe the best methodology is the methodology that gets the work done for our customers. We would not ask for our customers' business unless we are reasonably certain we can improve it for them.

Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, John LaRose manages Applica, develops and executes long-term strategies, and collaborates with clients, employees, investors and stakeholders. He is the chief decision and policy maker, and as such, he sets the tone for the company’s values, ethics and culture.

Vice President

As Vice President, Denise is responsible for growing the supply side of Applica Logistics by choosing and setting up vendors, establishing teaming partner relationships, leveraging purchasing contracts, securing new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with our existing customer base.

George Sam
Chief Operating Officer

George Sam is Applica’s Partner and COO, responsible for the company’s strategic and operational leadership; acquiring new customers and delivering superior services. He is responsible for all of the company’s sales operations and activities, end-to-end management of Applica’s supply chain, as well as service and support to all of our customers and product lines.

Amy Pangburn
Director of Design

Amy has 25+ years of work experience in Facilities Management for major commercial real estate corporations and has managed / maintained commercial portfolios consisting of multi-tenant office, flex space and retail space; she has coordinated property renovation projects, tenant build to suit suites and service contracts and was responsible for multi-million dollar operating and construction budgets.

Angie Bonner
Director of Operations

Angie was introduced to the furniture industry three years ago and has risen to the rank of Director of Operations.  Her responsibilities include checking orders for product and pricing accuracy, tracking ship dates, working to resolve punch list items, assisting on bid proposals and procurement activities.  Angie is proficient in product research and value-engineering specifications.

Julianna LaRose
Research Specialist

Julianna has been exposed to office furniture since birth and has seen thousands of installations across the world.  She grew up working part-time for her mother, Denise LaRose, and continued her involvement in furniture as she attended college at the University of Virginia.
