John LaRose
Chief Executive Officer
John LaRose is Applica’s CEO and is responsible for working with the Applica leadership team to develop the company’s strategic vision and long-term objectives. By continuously engaging with clients, employees and stakeholders, John thrives to ensure that Applica provides support which exceeds the expectations of our clients.

As an Army Veteran, John served 24 years in the Army retiring in 2008 as an Army Human Resources Chief Warrant Officer. As part of his 24 year Army career, John worked at multiple levels beginning with 13 years in the 82d Airborne Division, five years of various positions in Germany, three years at the Army’s Human Resources Command (HRC) and three years in the Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG).

Prior to becoming the CEO of Applica, John served in multiple leadership positions for Fortune 500 Companies including Booz Allen Hamilton and CACI, where his focus was to support IT development for the world’s largest Oracle PeopleSoft Integrated Personnel and Payroll System for the U.S. Army (IPPS-A) supporting more than 1.1 million users worldwide. As Senior Functional Lead for Booz Allen, John led the successful planning and development of the Army’s functional requirements to be included in the PeopleSoft solution. As Deputy Program Manager for CACI, John led numerous teams from software development to testing and training to deliver complex HR business process solutions to the Army. John’s previous experiences include engagements with Army Leadership at the highest levels and corporate leadership at Partner levels. John understands the need for clear and concise guidance and the expected leadership necessary to ensure mission success. John’s 15 years of corporate experience provides a clear understanding of the expertise necessary to solve complex client missions. By empowering our Applica staff, John encourages our employees to be active and engaging to best support client missions while continuously working to improve client delivery and striving to identify additional areas for continuous process improvement.

John has expertise in all areas of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including Waterfall and Agile Development strategies such as SAFe Agile, PROSCI Change Management, Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), Functional and Technical Requirements Development including Business Case and Capability Design Document development, testing strategies / execution and deployment strategies.
